Warranties are designed to cover faulty workmenship or material, it is not intended to cover scooter equipment suffering damage as a direct result of participation in the sport. No warranty is guaranteed and all claims are at the discretion of the distributor or manufacturer of that product.

Manufacturers Warranties on products can only be processed if you have a proof of purchase. If you have any issues that are valid, please contact Scooter Village by email at sales@scootervillage.com.au and we will assist you with your issues.

Apparent external damage or wilful damage, misuse or incorrect installation will not be covered by warranty.

Grip tape, Handgrips and Bearings are consumable products and are not covered under warranty unless received in a non-functioning or defective state.

COMPLETE SCOOTERS

Completes warranty varies from 3 -12 month manufacturer’s warranty depending on the brand and covers hardware failure excluding wear and tear. All warranties will be void if this product is modified in any way. This includes using after-market products, poor maintenance, abuse or misuse.

ALUMINIUM BARS

Aluminium bars come with a 30 day manufacturer’s warranty.

This will usually cover

Cracking of welds
Paint defects

This will not usually cover

If bars have less then 40mm of fork tube inside the bars
If you modify or cut your bars
Scratching or chipping of paint
Misuse of your bars
Bending or cracking due to misuse or poor landing

Aluminium bars are a light weight product for use by smooth and proficient riders. Landing incorrectly, throwing bars from any height or dropping will damage the bars. This is not covered by the warranty.

CHROMOLY BARS

Chromoly bars come with a 90 day manufacturer’s warranty.

This will cover

Bending or breaking of the bars This will not cover
If bars have less then 40mm of fork tube inside the bars
If you modify or cut your bars
Scratching or chipping of paint
Misuse of your bars

CLAMPS

Typically clamps are covered by a 90 day manufacturer’s warranty.

This will usually cover

Breaking of bolts and clamp body This will not cover
Cross threading the bolts
Stripping of the bolt heads by using rounded-off Allen keys
Scratching of paint or anodizing.

DECKS

Decks typically come with a 6 month warranty on the head tube

This will cover

Snapping or visible cracking of the deck
Visible paint of finish defects out of the box
Function of the deck This will not cover
Any damage caused by misuse or abuse to the deck
Scratching, fading of paint or anodizing over time
Damage to the headset cups due to bad set up or lack of maintenance
Dinting of the deck down tube
Modifications to any part of the deck, including drill holes

Please note: Scooter decks are subject to extreme pressures and stress. To increase the life expectancy of your deck, avoid constant fly-outs (jumping to flat) and make all attempts to land smoothly, minimising the shock to the deck. All Scooter decks are prone to failure – it’s a fact, as they are constantly grinded and put under extreme pressures.
